2nd moderna a doozy

I know this has been done to death here at DU discussing how hard that 2nd mrna shot hits you. Well I got my 2nd saturday along with most of the teachers in my district. I was fine until saturday night and sleeping was very painful. Then all day yesterday was having a lot of muscle pain. Came to work today and the building is full of subs. It must have hit most of them harder than me!

she was a covid longhauler who had symptoms of fatigue. tiredness, brain fog, shortness of breath since she tested negative from having it.
She said she got the shot and all her symptoms went away overnight and was hailing it as a complete cure.
I tried to catch which vaccine it was bit did not hear them say.
If anyone has had the same experience please share it.

I don't know if it was the same person's experience. I was thinking that maybe the vaccine kicked her immune system into action.

have not noticed very many people who received the Pfizer vaccine reporting much of a reaction.

My shoulder was sore the day after my second shot, but it went away pretty quickly. I didn't feel terrible, but I was really tired and felt a little feverish for a couple of days. After that, I have felt fine. This Wednesday will be two weeks and I will have maximum immunity.

This is a huge American story and we all in this together. Getting the vaccine for most of us is a big personal deal and I enjoy reading the individual stories whether they are good, bad or somewhere in between. The most important thing is that we are doing our part and collectively saving lives.

And I love hearing the posts so I know while we may have a bit of sickness no one has ended up at the doctor I think. Besides this is all new and we are going through it together.

11. Where in the heck did your district find all those subs?

That is one of the difficulties my former district is having - no subs. Now that I'm fully immune I will offer my services as a volunteer or sub.

It is such a relief to be immune and to be able to start getting out and about.

I got a feverish reaction to both the flu and 2nd covid shot. I just chalked them up to an immunity reaction.

About two weeks after the 2nd, I got hive-like rash on my arms and torso. Very strange though. Came in late in the evening but was gone by morning. Happened for a week.

Apparently our state had a lot of moderna and not much J&J. We are driving 45 mins away to get our vaccinations so of course I’d prefer the J&J one-and-done.

But it seems that the moderna prompts a better immune response.

I’ll take what I can get. This weekend, the mass vaccination site had tons of appointments through mid week. Now I can see none, so I’m sure folks figured out that it was worth it to travel there.

It was given at the VB coliseum so there were lots of people there, all at different stages of the process.

During the after-shot wait, someone on the other side of room had a reaction and ended up in the floor. I couldn't see what was happening because there were people around him/her. As we drove out of the parking lot an ambulance with sirens was coming in.

May never know what happened!

Those who don't usually don't post that it went just fine.

I get my second Moderna shot on Friday. If I have a trouble free experience, I'll report that.
