The far right and the militias and the conspiracy theorists had a field day during the Trump administration. That big mouth blow hard kept parroting their delusional thoughts even as they ran harder and harder into the area of the demented. They started to think they were the majority... They went on twitter and other sites and spouted crazier and crazier things.. joining hands and running off the cliff.
Meanwhile the republican party started to think maybe this is where we want to go.. and they also started running circles in the area of the demented.
Now post election 2020.. reality is starting to set in.. Most Americans not only do not trust them, think their ideas are looney tunes, they do not even like them on a personal level.
You can hear the whining now on things like Fox and other far right outlets that embraced this craziness for power... people are coming after them.. well maybe they are in the sense that people have had their fill of the nonsense. Even our just plain old media got caught up in it. It made the numbers go through the roof.. Nothing like driving by a car wreck to see the damage..
A few of the goof balls actually got elected.. and the gnashing of teeth as the adults in the room send them off to play in the yard is amusing ..
Thank you President Biden and Vice President Harris for being the adults we were so happy to see back in charge.
(Just a note.. I do not think for a second they are going to disappear.. its takes a while for spoiled brats to get the message)

(4,336 posts)For our part, forgiveness need not include forgetfulness that they were "spoiled brats." I'm certain they'd take offense about that opinionated, subjective (or objective-by fact) judgment and just as certain what's in their hearts cannot be legislated away, but it sure wasn't for love of their country's diverse pieces parts down the line to each individual voter and/or resident that would resolve the social/civil issue(s) that promulgated their consequence of the lack of trust any time soon! As to whether or not we "like" them...

If Joe is successful as we hope he is, many will start blowing towards him.
They will never admit they were wrong.
But they might start denying they liked trump, just his policies, while gladly accepting social programs from Biden.

The right to vote is going to be monumental going forward. The fight just got more energy after what went down in Georgia.
