Trump campaign stole $tens of millions in scam donations.

This is sooooo predictable. Basically if you made a donation to Trump they kept taking money out until your account was empty.

https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/03/us/politics/trump-donations.html

Not a glitch. Only refunded money if someone complained. Was covered up and no one know how much they stole, but they were forced to refund a staggering $64M. Probably kept double that in illicitly attained donations.

They took money weekly, not monthly, sometimes doubled it, and hid the truth in the small print buried somewhere where no one could find it. So Trumpian. I hope the news gets around what their deified grifter did to them.

Just another Trump scam. This is awful and people were really hurt. It’s Trump, they should know he’s a grifter, but some of these people are elderly and it sounds like they really suffered.

I am sure they’ll never know how many victims there were. Trump and his crew are pros at running scams like this and hiding their tracks, even under the nose of the FEC.

When will his dipshit followers learn? Maybe this painful lesson will get through to them.

I'm sure that even if they knew he had taken their money by deceiving them, they ALL VOTED FOR HIM ANYWAYS.

Sorry, but I have no sympathy for the Stupid and Ignorant.

THEY KNEW HE WAS A SNAKE WHEN THEY TOOK HIM IN!!

to stop the repeated, regular withdrawals from donors' accounts. And one had to scroll to find them. Most online donation sites have a check box for your contribution to be a one-time donation, and it's featured fairly prominently.

But not the trump crooks. The first check box was in the small print down-site and only accessible by scrolling, and they added another box to check by donors if they caught the first check box.

Just totally intended, diabolical and crooked.

12. It is a new normal for GOP campaigns

Now WinRed is exporting the tools it pioneered during the Trump re-election across the Republican Party, presaging a new normal for G.O.P. campaigns.

Today, the websites of various Republican Party committees and top congressional Republicans, including Representative Kevin McCarthy, the House minority leader, and Senator Mitch McConnell, the Senate minority leader, include prechecked yellow boxes for multiple or recurring donations.

And after Mr. Trump’s first public speech of his post-presidency at the end of February, his new political operation sent its first text message to supporters since he left the White House. “Did you miss me?” he asked.

The message directed supporters to a WinRed donation page with two prechecked yellow boxes. Mr. Trump raised $3 million that day, according to an adviser, with more to come from the recurring donations in the months ahead.
