I'm surprised the cops went so far as to take him into custody. I'm sure after a little back-and-forth about firearm security, he was released with an apology for any inconvenience he may have suffered. With the gun he doesn't know how to handle responsibly.

"I didn't know the gun was loaded" or "While cleaning the gun it accidentally discharged" or "it's a bad gun, never does what I tell it to"

but he'll get a slap on the wrist and a new hopps gun cleaning kit and a ride home.

I'm so tired of these jackasses, with no disrespect to jackasses meant.
