The sun rises in the east and sets in the west. The moon orbits around the earth ( which is

round! ) and the earth orbits around the sun. Everyone eventually dies.

These are examples of things we intelligent beings call "facts".

If you have opinions which contradict known facts, that just means you are ignorant. Your voicing such ignorant opinions does not create "alternative facts". It advertises your determination to live in your own world and that is ok with me as long as you STAY there and don't pollute mine with your nonsense.

Carry on.

There's no debate about the sun rising in the east no matter what republicans say, so the media shouldn't pretend that there's any doubt about that fact.

If republicans deny it, then the media should either ignore it or cover it as "republicans lie" or at least "republicans get basic facts wrong".

Sadly, the only facts the media seems interested in reporting are things like "prominent Republican *said* (insert blatant lie)". Well gee, it's a fact that the Republican said that, so let's run that story.
