1. I was wondering

what a gas-bag looks like.

Seriously though, this really is something! Hopefully this person won't store this gas in his greenhouse when he gets home.

4. This is the responsibility of gas stations and their attendants

There are laws about approved containers. You might get away with an unvented metal or plastic container. Plastic bags or glass - NO!

I had a relatively right wing wacko prof one time who was waiting for Buenos Aires to erupt in flames. His reasoning was that inflation was driving people to spend quickly and hoard whatever commodities they could, and the slums were ripe for people hoarding gasoline.

Plastic bags were not mentioned.

20. No. In NJ, drivers are NOT ALLOWED to touch the pumps. Unless you mean, EXCEPT for NJ.

6. I should think that gasoline would eat right through a plastic bag.

If not sooner, then later for sure.

10. This is why there should not be pump your own gas statioins.

NJ has it right.
Here is a public service message from an old guy.
I see people pumping gas all the time while smoking.
I see campers pull into gas stations and pump gas. I know their propane refrigerators are running. Which means there is an open flame.
People don't put their plastic gas cans on the ground while filling and risk static spark ignition.
People jump back in the car while the pump is filling the car. When they get out and touch the pump handle a static spark flies.
There is a reason for gas station attendants, this product is dangerous.
Do you store five gallon containers of fuel in your garage? It is a bomb.
Do you have propane tanks. They are bombs.
I have a fuel shed in hopes of reducing the risk of these bombs.

11. I do not use plastic gas cans

I live in a rural VA county, miles away from the nearest gas station. I store gas for my mower -- yes, I know, there are excellent battery-powered mowers on the market, but, they will not handle 2 acres of grass.

Have never owned a plastic gas can, will never own a plastic gas can.

My favorite gas can is: Eagle 5-gallon, red, galvanized steel, with safety cap and funnel. Cost around $50.00.

I keep one of the 5-gal and two of the 2.5-gal in a separate small shed.

19. I picked up couple of jerry cans at a yard sale years ago.

Even with those, I hang it on the outside of the vehicle.
