MSNBC/Ari Melber was worth the watch, tonight.

His segment on the law and police violence was outstanding. I did not know that, on average, 1000 people are killed annually by the police and there have only been 5 criminal cases brought against these people.

If we are a true democracy, we need to take back control on defining what we expect in community policing. Racists/fascists/anti-socialists need to be weeded out of our communities.

1. It was so enlightening. I know there is a

difference in burden of proof between criminal and civil trials, but his explanation of accountability (or lack of it) per SCOTUS, etc, was brilliant.

3. Totally agree. Wallace - Melber is what I watch, primarily.

Ari catches a lot of shit here for his entertainment facet of his program. I don't relate to a lot of it, but sometimes, he blows me away ( ref. GD "Truckin" duet with this vaccine guru he had on). But when he switches to law and social contracts, he is the absolute best analyst on MSNBC. I wish he and Joy Reid would merge their shows....they'd be fascinating paired together.

5. He does good 'Special Reports'...

Theyíre integrated within the program and if he does them at regular intervals, Iím unaware of the interval, but the reports are always interesting when he does them.

4. Until recently the statistics weren't available on police violence

There was a concerted effort of municipal watchdog groups all across the country to compile the data because the police departments tried like hell to keep it quiet. I'm glad Ari Melber is spotlighting this, it should be a major topic. Something will only happen if the Democrats do something since (obviously) the Repukes won't do shit about it.

7. There are so many issues that need to be at the top of the agenda.

This is obviously one of them.
