Sorry to bitch 'n' moan. Really making an effort to quit the murmur & complain.

It's already May. Past halfway mark. And it's still pretty crappy. I sense another year running a close second to last.

1. A president who cares about our country. A fantastic Vice President.

Vaccines that seem to be working.

Iím really not getting the doom and gloom posts Iíve seen lately. It IS May! Get outside in the sunshine and enjoy the spring!

2. I AM grateful for Pres. Biden and V. Pres. Harris

I shudder to think that it could have gone the other way.

I'm flat out weary tho from my personal past 2+ years.

People are more crazy than ever it seems. The pandemic has taken a toll.

Forgive me, but I continue to have trepidation in my soul.

Isreal/Palestine. repuQs. Mag-a-lardo remnant person...

3. Yes, Sprink, the pandemic has taken a toll on so many of us.

I struggle quite a bit as well, with lower energy and the knowledge that personal aging came at the same time as the pandemic.

We're old enough to know that there's a lot we can't control, and we have to let go of some of it.
Our worry, our concern won't change Israel/Palestine and internal corruption in some places here.

Important to get our rest (say I near 3 a.m., but I sleep in these days.)
Put worries up on a shelf at night - they'll still be there tomorrow if we want to take them on.

Thank the Lord each night for the small accomplishments of the day, eating healthily, taking a shower (yeah), being civil to those you meet.

We're always here.

Sleep well.

4. Your words of wisdom are uplifting. 🙏

I do get enuff rest albeit disrupted every few hours.

Seems like a continual stream of others' errors, mistakes, incompetence keeps coming my way that I alone can fix.

It does hurt a bit that increasingly I get little to no texts or calls from those one would expect. I read online that after a loss, people contacting you 'dwindles'. Ain't that the truth. The head of my post office lost her husband 4 years ago and so we commiserate. She experienced the same thing.

I meet people in the grocery store who hellos are exchanged with and then we exchange numbers. They offered to come over, walk dog, go shopping with me whatever I need.

It just bums me out that it would be gestures honoring my husband's memory and not for my benefit.

5. If you mean weatherwise, I agree. This is the first year I can remember

In a long time where May has been so unsettled. You can usually count on two good May weeks in Ireland, and we've got at best 3 days without rain... and that's on top of a miserable first 4 months.

7. Sometimes it does feel like Baby New Year 2021's first words were "Hold mah beer!"

But it hasn't been all bad.
