Liz Cheney appointed to Jan 6. Select Committee

Lol. Pelosi announcing the members live now.

Edited to add list of members that Pelosi has appointed:

Chair: Bennie Thompson

Pete Aguilar
Liz Cheney
Zoe Lofgren
Elaine Luria
Stephanie Murphy
Jamie Raskin
Adam Schiff

Pelosi says she hopes Kevin McCarthy will choose his members "expeditiously," but if he doesn't, "we have a quorum."

I don’t care one way or t’other since we’re talking about the lords and ladies of hell feuding with each other. Still, I think their might be enough support from the Cheney faction of the Plutocratic Party to offset the rumblings and rantings of the Droolers of the Fascist Loser-45 cult.

But I think, maybe, flip a coin. I just don’t know that she’s automatically dead meat.

However, it's true either way now.

With a little, "It's better to rule in Hell, than to serve in (what has become the seditionist's) Heaven." Thrown in, because, as probably the ranking Republican in the commission (which has ultimately more power than a mere committee membership) She'll take the role of bipartisan spokesperson and media go-to. Also, I don't believe all Republicans are the loons they are portrayed as in the current Republican Congressional Membership. She'll have those people's ear.

Man, you have to hand it to the Cheney's... They really know how to serve it up cold.

Liz will never be a friend to Democrats, but right now she is an ally and one we are smart to capitalize on for the purposes of diffusing/countering the RW BS. Not to mention this step will give McCarthy/Trump and others no end of heartburn.

This pits McCarthy against Cheney. Even if he straps her of her committees for doing the right thing, he elevates her because she is in the position to support a subpoena for him to testify.
