A group of Arkansas parents are planning on suing the state over Act 1002, the recently passed law that bans mask mandates statewide.

about all the children of this state," Veronica McClane, a parent with two kids, said. "My children are the most important thing to me."

Protecting her kids is one of the most important things to her as well. Seeing cases rise while vaccinations and masking fall has left McClane feeling more upset than content.

2. Good this is something citizens can do.

And attorneys can do-- pro bono, I hope.

A class action lawsuit from Covid sufferers against Fox, OANN, and Newsmax would apply some real pressure.

11. Good grief!

We all know that schools are petri dishes, illnesses can spread through schools really fast, especially in the lower grades. In my area, there have been outbreaks in several schools causing them to go back to virtual learning or eliminating sports and after school activities as recently as this spring.

I read the "plans" for my former elementary school, virtual and in-person learning schedules for different grades at different times, how to manage "social distancing" in classrooms and lunch periods, etc. And this was at the start of the last school year. Based on what I've seen here locally, I'm sure that they've had to make changes as they went...

And I have seen the kids getting off the school buses, even the littlest kids were wearing masks. But that didn't stop the outbreaks. It should be about keeping the kids safe, it's not a political question.

14. I agree completely!

Kids are quite resilient except in 1 out of 12 cases when they end up with ling haul.

At least your school dist. Was willing to adapt. Not here. One teacher told me that had a lot of cases in the high school. Never once shut down. 🤬
