Dallas Cowboys starting quarterback Dak Prescott is being ridiculed by legal experts -- as well as anyone with a basic knowledge of medical privacy laws.

During a press conference on Friday, Prescott was asked whether he had been vaccinated against the novel coronavirus.

""I don't necessarily think that's exactly important," Prescott replied. "I think that's HIPAA."

It's not exactly what Charles Barkley meant when he said he wasn't a role model, but it is sort of parallel....

I think Charles has a good understanding of his role and a good sense of society.

He has a degree in Aerospace Engineering and an MBA. His roommate is a Radiologist. A lot of people Dom't know was HIPPA involves. I am happy to see a very poor African American guy from the south do well.

prevents them from speaking about their own medical status/conditions?

“How are you feeling mom?”
“You know I can’t talk about that!”

No. No one believes that. No one.

...I think the silliness comes from a belief that HIPPA means nobody can even ask you about your medical status.
Not that they can't tell people, but they stupidly believe it's illegal to ask about it.
And yes, I actually do think some people believe that.
You & I know how ridiculously wrong they are, but they believe it.
I think Prescott was issuing a veiled threat by telling a reporter he shouldn't be asking.
He's obviously not as bright as I thought he may be.

Many of them in engineering. It is a quality school. In hindsight I might have gone there instead of Purdue because I would have had an already built in support network.

They are admitted because they can play football.

Admittedly, quarterbacks used to be a cut above the average, but that was when they actually called plays and ran the offense.
