Nursing home staff working closest to patients are least likely to be vaccinated

"Staff at long-term care facilities who are the most likely to interact with vulnerable patients are the least likely to have been vaccinated, researchers reported Thursday.

And there is evidence they have been infecting their patients, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention-led team reported.

They used data from 300 long-term care facilities across the US. While 75% of physicians working at these facilities had been vaccinated by March of this year, just 46% of aides had been."...(more)

3. They're the least educated and trained, generally. The facilities

should have created policies and educational material to ensure the frontline workers didn't bring or spread the disease and OF COURSE got the vaccine. But here's the thing--these places are desperate for workers, so they're not going to make vaccination a job requirement or institute any policy where these workers might not show up for their shifts.

sue the aide/CNAs and sue the doctors who aren't vaccinated.

CNAs answer to their shift nurses, who answer to the director of nursing for the facility and to the director of the facility - who answers to the company that owns the facility.

Sue. Sue. Sue.

And then sue some more.

employee get fully vaccinated. If they fail to comply, fire 'em. Either that or advertise their homes to families who can't wait to inherit Grandma's money.
