I am now anti-deodorant!

I am also anti-toothpaste, anti-soap, and anti-shampoo. I am ideologically opposed to the changing or washing of clothes. I've been freed from the tyranny of it all.

My anti-vax family, neighbors, and coworkers can suck it up and mind their own business. Personal hygiene is a personal decision. I shall remain of this mindset until herd immunity is achieved.

Who's with me?

Hell, yeah. I'm "with you", if not particularly close.

Fortunately, there's no downside to not washing for a while. One good shower and we're Suave again.

In a post on LinkedIn called "The Dirty Jeans Manifesto," Bergh explains that he keeps his jeans out of the washing machine in order to save water.

"We learned that an average pair of jeans consumes roughly 3,500 liters of water — and that is after only two years of use, washing the jeans once a week," Bergh writes. "Nearly half of the total water consumption, or 1,600 liters, is the consumer throwing the jeans in the washing machine. That’s equivalent to 6,700 glasses of drinking water!"

He also says that not washing the jeans helps them last longer.

It doesn't take long until you are as dirty as you can possibly be, so you won't get any worse.

When I worked at FSU, I was in some kind of Student Union planning meeting and I suggested, with a straight face, that to save energy and money, that we have a no-bath February program. Feb. is cool so you aren't doing a lot of sweating, and if everybody participates, nobody can complain. I went on to tell them how many gallons of water and how many kilowatt hours, and how much money could be saved. My suggestion was met with a lot of skepticism, especially from the women, and was not adopted, but it made more sense than a lot of things that we did there.

I am a big reader of WWII histories and biographies from soldiers on all sides. The troops would sometimes go months without bathing or clean clothes. They don't complain too much about being dirty, but they all complain about body lice. On anecdotal factoid that I found interesting are common comments from both Germans and Soviets that, even living in the open in 40 degree below zero temps is that people did not get sick with colds. They may lose digits to frostbite or die of exposure, but they didn't get sick often. I credit that to being dirty all the time, it builds up your immunity.

None. Zilch. Nada.

She was a proud "free bleeding" (her words for it) Christian. She said her god made women bleed but he didn't make tampons, etc.. Good enough for Eve and all that. (again, her words)

She did bathe and all, hair done, mouth fresh, and usually wore clean clothing.

Still.

No.

As for you...

No need to become Pig-Pen - unless you can do his dance.

Did she not even use pads or anything to prevent her from bleeding all over the place? Or did she just stay home on those days?

How bizarre. I suppose at one point in time you could have gotten away with it, but it would put most women in a difficult spot today.
