I don't think reed is being realistic. I'm happy to see even some progress made on DeJoy, SC, climate change, etc.

One has to factor in that representatives like Manchin and Sinema are corporate owned. Then there's the not so small factor that we're coming off four years of an insane president, where we wasted huge amounts of time and effort just to keep the country afloat.

The political party we're dealing with is completely dysfunctional and does not even believe in governing, only obstruction.

Frankly, I don't even know how some of our representatives keep going. The working conditions are that bad.

I'm not making excuses. I'm just trying to see how one could realistically do much more than what's currently being done.

"McConnell would have done these things five months ago" - and yada, yada.

Pretty much the same ol', same ol'. Have to become Repugs, to beat Repugs. People keep preaching it - and I'm still not buying it.

I would consider (Senate rules, federal election law, etc.). Problem is - these rants generally go along the lines of 'scorched earth' and 'fight fire with fire' - which to me connotates a willingness to scrap all the rules in their entirety. And frankly I'm not interested in 'going there' - or, to borrow another phrase, willing to, "burn the village in order to save it."
