Liz Cheney entered this into the record calling out Jim Banks for sending letters to government agen

Recall that Banks was one of the members that Pelosi REJECTED.

On the House floor, Liz Cheney entered this into the record calling out Jim Banks for sending letters to government agencies claiming he is the ranking member of the 1/6 committee even though he is not on the committee.

8. That was cut off of the image in the OP.

He is, however, the Ranking Member of a sub-committee of the Armed Services Committee. And he did not specify what committee he was ranking member of under his signature. Very tricky. I would call it clever if he wasn't a republican.

It's sort of like calling Kevin McCarthy "Leader" without specifying he is the Minority Leader, which I've heard Journalists do often.

15. here is a beter image of the letter. But also, you have good points, yet Banks claims he is still

a member even though Pelosi did NOT appoint him to the committee

17. It's cut off in your image, too, but if you click on it

it shows then. I did that awhile ago.

5. What an ass, does he really think the heads of the agencies are going

to be fooled by his asinine letters and claims.

6. Not a according to the resolution that established the committee. Speaker appoints members

Could have a bipartisan committee, but the GOP declined that option. Something to hide?

12. Well, on the day of the Insurrection,

Banks was outside giving a speech welcoming the participants from Indiana. He doesn't have enough clout to worm his way onto the stage and be an official part of it, but he hovered on the outskirts. Just follow the slime trail, you'll find Banks.

So to answer your question, something to hide? Yah, probably.

11. This is what we had pre-Reagan, representatives who put country over party. When the House....

...Judiciary Committee voted for Nixon's Article of Impeachment, the votes were 27-11 for Article 1, 28-10 for Article 2, and 21-17 for Article 3.

There were 17 republicans on the Committee. All three were "bipartisan", for the third one Democrat voted Nay, one republican voted Yea.

16. If I recall Banks was one of the fascists McCarthy wanted to plant on the committee...

Pelosi chose not to accept him as she is allowed to do so.
