Biden slaps down Peter Doocy's 'garbage' question to his face

President Joe Biden denied a Wall Street Journal report that his administration was considering large payouts to immigrant families whose children were separated by the Trump administration.

"The Biden administration is in talks to offer immigrant families that were separated during the Trump administration around $450,000 a person in compensation, according to people familiar with the matter, as several agencies work to resolve lawsuits filed on behalf of parents and children who say the government subjected them to lasting psychological trauma," the newspaper reported on Thursday.

Fox News personality Peter Doocy asked Biden about the report during a Wednesday press conference.

"Do you think that that might incentivize more people to come over illegally?" Doocy asked.

"If you guys keep sending that garbage out, yeah. But it's not true," Biden replied.

"So this is a garbage report?" Doocy asked.

"Yeah," Biden replied. "That's not going to happen."

President Joe Biden got sassy with Fox News’ Peter Doocy Tuesday when the White House correspondent asked him about a recent call with Russian president Vladimir Putin.
“Mr. President,” called out Doocy, who covered Biden during the 2020 presidential campaign. “What did you talk to Vladimir Putin about?”

Biden quipped, “You. He sends his best!”

... that was great! FOX edits Doocey's exchanges to make him look like a tough journalist, tho... I see him batted down by Jen Psaki, but the FOX fiends go to work. They will have a difficult time with this one!

I have posted the same over the months.
Psaki (?) makes him look like an idiot at a White House press conference but Fox slices and dices the video to make him look like the winner.

Just another part of their fake news.

The ACLU claims President Biden must not be aware of their negotiations with DOJ after his response to that question.

“ Biden’s comments on Wednesday drew ire from immigration advocates like ACLU Executive Director Anthony Romero, who said Biden might have not been up to speed on the Justice Department’s actions as it “carefully deliberated and considered the crimes committed against thousands of families separated from their children as an intentional governmental policy.”

“But if he follows through on what he said, the president is abandoning a core campaign promise to do justice for the thousands of separated families,” Romero said. “We respectfully remind President Biden that he called these actions ‘criminal’ in a debate with then-President Trump, and campaigned on remedying and rectifying the lawlessness of the Trump administration. We call on President Biden to right the wrongs of this national tragedy.”
