1. Big outbreak, been watching Youtube for coverage.

One very long lived strong tornado, still going on in KY (the one that also hit Mayfield). Bunch of others too.

3. This is crazy!

Tornados this far north in December?

I could see down here, but in St Louis and Illinois?

4. Very strong system plus abnormally warm temps I guess.

In Colorado this morning I had this system hit my area with a sudden snow/sleet squall, high winds, swept in and then swept right back out--was weird.

the guy there just said that... seriously, they don't even believe the tornado warnings?

I just give up.

7. That's about 3 hours west of us

Moving this way. Radar shows the big storms starting here about 1:00 central. Tornado warning.

24. Too close for comfort

We got some serious thunderstorms, but Bowling Green is 45 minutes south of us. Casualties and tons of damage:

"tornado damage in Bowling Green was categorized as EF-3, with estimated wind speeds of 150 miles per hour."

Read more at: https://www.kentucky.com/news/state/kentucky/article256511671.html#storylink=cpy

We dodged a bullet. Several were spotted around us, but they didn't touch down.

26. The NWS will need to confirm this based on ground damage

Radar will show a tornado, (funnel cloud-tornado warning), but the official definition will be ground activity...
Many times they go in and out of clouds, thus "starting and stopping".
