Oops looks like I tested positive to covid19

I was having symptoms of a cold the past two days, no fever.

I went and purchased a home test and it looks like it's positive. I guess I will get more rigorous one done at the drive in testing center to be sure and follow up with my doctor.

I'm fully vaxed and boosted and only experiencing very mild symptoms. I am located in southeastern Virginia where there has been an increase. I do mask up fully at work and when out in public. Still possibly got it. Until it's confirmed I am going to isolate and assume I am positive.

Sit on porch anytime.

Walk or bicycle.

Watch traditional Christmas stuff like Cloverfield, The Munsters, Roadrunner.

I HAVE to be in France tomorrow and in Brussels the day after. I'm vaxxed and boosted, but wanted the extra backup in case the border authorities demand it. I was supposed to go to the Netherlands on Thursday, and don't like my chances of being let in.

Just curious. Aren't we in the NL doing worse than Germany?

This latest lock down has me pretty bummed.

D is my legal residence, so the Germans will probably let me back in, especially when I can show that I was only in NL for less than 10 hours.

I drove to Düsseldorf for a few hours to do some Christmas shopping. Of course that could have all changed and public transportation might be different.

but very smart to isolate as if positive until proven otherwise. Be kind and don't spread it. Even the vaccinated can shed virus with a breakthrough infection. Just not for nearly as long as the unvaxed.
