Capitol riot committee weighing DOJ referrals for 'a range of crimes' by Trump and his allies: NYT

I say subpoena Ivanka Trump to ask her under oath how many times she told the toddler to call his terrorists off during his 3-hours glee while watching them ransack the Capitol, beating CPOs...

6. Just speaking for myself, I'd sure like to see some "shock and awe" out of the DOJ

3. No need to short-circuit the committee for the time being.

DOJ investigations are probably open and could be waiting for criminal referrals (with all the evidence) from the committee to present to the Grand Jury.

4. The DOJ has far, far more resources than a congressional committee to do investigations.

They are not waiting on evidence from a committee.

5. They may (or not) be waiting for formal criminal referrals (as in the OP suggest).

There is no rush (yet) to get it right. No need to double the resources and risk shortcircuiting the results IMHO.
