(25,881 posts)are putting 2 Democrats in one district. In Texas they put Al Greene and Sheila Jackson Lee in the same district. It must have caught on because I heard that other states are doing the same thing. I do believe that Merrick Garland has filed a complaint with what Texas did.
Without passing S1 it will be a hard row to hoe.

(118,223 posts)The final redistricting plan that was adopted by the Texas Legislature placed Greene and Lee into separate districts. I wanted to set the record straight rather than read misinformation since it weakens the remainder of any arguments people might make.
The DOJ (along with other civic groups) has contested the redistricting plans for the U.S. House.

(19,647 posts)Justice Democrats spent over 20% of their disbursements in 2020 on ads against Democrats (i.e. attack ads).
Why would any group claiming to be "progressive" work to defeat Carolyn Maloney, one of the most liberal and effective Democrats in the House?
Cui bono?
