Meet Ron Johnson's likely US Senate opponent in Wisconsin

Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes.

He isn't the only one running, but is so far the most likely to win the Democratic nomination -and in my opinion, beat Johnson.

1. Johnson's dumbassitude must be really valuable to someone for him to run again.

3. I can imagine the DaVinci Code degenerate monk's campaign

commercials will boil down to; "Yeah, but look at him. I mean, really look. If you know what I mean. (wink sound, ominous music fades).

4. Where did you come up with "likely?"

There are a number of good candidates, and a ways to go until anything is decided.

8. He is likely to win the primary.

I think he will likely beat Johnson if he utilizes his resources effectively in the general lelection.

12. He has name recognition going for him

As does Sarah, the rest are pretty much unknowns. I'm looking forward to seeing them all debate.

9. On top of the point the poster made above me,

he also carries the clout of Lt. Governor which gives him a pretty solid advantage over other candidates.

7. Barnes is the most likely nominee given his position as Lt Governor and

being ahead 29 points in the primary. Elections are never a guarantee, of course but I think he has a pretty solid chance of winning the primary.

11. Godlewski is the State Treasurer...

...and I'll withhold judgement on an internal poll as the only available reference to the state of the Primary.

14. Looks like Aug 8 (from my question above)

There is a lot of time for opinion to change regardless of the accuracy of polling.
