The 5 SE PA counties, Centre, Allegheny and Erie are low. Gets higher as soon as Berks in eastern PA.

As the professor in the thread says: it probably reflects a lot of the delta wave. I'm not sure how long it takes a death to be reflected as being Covid related in the official state stats. A while I would guess but really don't know. So it may be a while before we have a handle on Omicron.

Facts:

NY

https://usafacts.org/visualizations/coronavirus-covid-19-spread-map/state/new-york

7 day Average Deaths

(NYC)

Bronx County (The Bronx) 16
Kings County (Brooklyn) 29
New York County (Manhattan) 12
Queens County (Queens) 26
Richmond County (Staten Island) 6

That's 89 Deaths/7 Day average

The ENTIRE rest of the State of New York

48 Deaths/7 Day Average

I know all about PERCENTAGES PER 100k of deaths in rural counties... they're HIGH.

But the actual NUMBERS of people DYING are coming from BLUE URBAN areas.

Stop cheering on COVID-19 deaths because you think it's a high % of Trumpers.

Detroit

Wayne County 23
Oakland County 11
Macomb County 11

45 Deaths/7 Day Average

The ENTIRE rest of the State of Michigan

48 Deaths/7 Day Average

Metro Detroit has as many deaths as the rest of the State combined

You were told this the last time you beat this drum.
There are R voters everywhere.
Fact 1: Deaths from COVID are highly concentrated among the unvaccinated. The medical community has consensus on that.
Fact 2: Now that reluctance in the black community has waned a bit, the most likely unvaxxed person (polling data suggests) vote R.
Fact 3: Detroit area did not vote 100% D.
Using raw numbers as you're doing is equally uniformatitive.
Knowing what we know about the other distributions suggest the opposite of what you claim.

.

A lot of industries benefit from this pandemic and will continue to profit as it continues.

Some GOP person said that the death of old people frees up their money for others to use.

Does not surprise me. Getting lots of funeral notices from people I once knew. With all the right-wing unvaccinated idiots around here there is no way I would risk my life going to one of their funerals.
