It was based on Kinzinger saying they expected him to cooperate fully.

Did anybody REALLY think that some 'bolt of lightning' came down and hit "America's Mayor" and let him 'see the light?"

If you believed that, I've got some great property that you might be interested in buying - I'm needing to sell it so that I can pay my attorneys because their fees are killing me - and the kids are begging me to increase their allowance........

Just send money to me, Donnie. Don't worry about the address - DeJoy knows where I am.........

7. Giuliani is a coup co-conspirator. "End of world" buffoonery makes it all the more clear.

"Putin is withdrawing his troops!"
"Giuliani is planning to fully comply!"

Why do some on the left seem more willing to give pathological liars like these more of a benefit of the doubt than they do some of our own Democratic politicians?

Trump's so-called lawyer, John Eastman, has been told by a judge to prove he was Trump's lawyer because Eastman is claiming attorney/client privilege. Eastman will have to show a retainer agreement or bills and cancelled checks to prove the professional relationship existed. Otherwise, Eastman's documents are fair game. (Eastman's use of his University email account may have violated the school's 401(c)(3) status, to boot).

Make Giuliani prove he was Trump's lawyer. Let's see the retainer agreement. Let's see Rudy's bills for services. Was he paid? By whom?

Giuliani is toast. It's going to be a continuingly entertaining shit-show as all of Trump's lawyers fold around him.

11. I'm sure he can come up with back-dated invoices. That isn't difficult.

However, showing payments that never arrived, or having his accountant prove a negative balance in his accounts receivable is more complicated, and would involve a wider conspiracy, as well as perjury on his accountant's part. i wouldn't bet the farm on that one, not that Giuliani has a lot of other farms to bet.

12. Giuliani is pretty deep in his legal quagmire

His law license has been suspended in both NY and DC. This is often a first step towards disbarment.

Given his predicament, would he really fraudulently create documents? Man, if he did and got caught, he would be in such deep shit that he could never recover. Do you think he's that desperate that he would take such a dangerous risk? He'd have to be completely batshit crazy.

One reason I think that Giuliani isn't completely insane is that every time he appeared in court to try to perpetuate The Big Lie, he very carefully never alleged fraud because then he'd have to provide real evidence. Since he doesn't have that, he tried other stupid tactics that all failed. He seems to have recognized where the line was drawn and he didn't cross it.

Anyway, we'll see. If Giuliani falls, Trump will really be a tight spot.

It looks from here like Giuliani is playing CYA, and is close to being broke.

I think he'll do whatever he feels is necessary to save his sorry ass. While consciously crossing the line into blatant illegality is probably a last resort for him, I have no doubt that--if that IS his last resort--he will cross that line without hesitation. One's perspective surely changes when one has nothing left to lose. If he sees tossing Trump to the wolves is the ONLY way of staying out of prison, I think he wouldn't hesitate to choose that path, too.
