Trump attorney says client is between a rock and a hard place and entire family may plead the Fifth

By David Edwards
Published February 22, 2022

Trump attorney Alina Habba admitted on Tuesday that the ex-president and members of his family may be forced to use the Fifth Amendment to protect themselves from incrimination in New York after a judge ruled that they can be subpoenaed by Attorney General Letitia James.

During an interview on Newsmax, Habba claimed that it had been improper for state Supreme Court Judge Arthur F. Engoron to call Donald Trump a "bad guy" during a court hearing over the attorney general's right to subpoena. She also defended referring to Trump as a "protected class" in court.

Habba called the judge's ruling "incredibly frightening" but said that she has not decided if she will recommend using the Fifth Amendment for Trump and two of his children, Ivanka and Don Jr.

Dear attorney, that will not get paid unless it's thru the RNC, they made their bed......they have to sleep in it.....and the only thing that is saving trump from going to prison in the future is the secret service, they will not be assigned to sit with him and protect him in prison....but as a citizen I want him behind bars, secret service or no secret service protection....and he is a "bad guy"....

Dear attorney ever hear of the RICO Act.....its coming ....

since anything they say can be brought up again in the criminal trial, which has more severe punishments.

State of New York has TrumpCo circling the wagons. Time to launch the flaming arrows.

Habba the Nut argued Trump was in a "protected class"..and the judge called that argument specious and schooled her on the legal definition of "protected class".....the judge's "bad guy" reference was letting Trump's court jester know that her client is no different from any other bad guy James goes after because holding bad guys accountable is her job..

Giuliani ... said Trump wants to testify and that “every lawyer in America thinks he would be a fool to testify.”

The question is, Trump may be advised to take the 5th, but can he control the narcissist inside him from speaking? I have my doubts.

Tell them they made mistakes, it drives them nuts! They cannot ever admit they were wrong about anything. Nothing is their fault. Everything they do and say is driven by their ego. I would love to take Trump’s deposition.

When you attack the ego of a textbook narcissist like Trump, they will instantly respond. They cannot control themselves.

Justice matters.

If you didn't do anything wrong you have nothing to worry about.

Trumps do nothing BUT wrong. And they know it. They've exploited the system their entire lives. Payback's a bitch.
