Alito's former Princeton classmate calls draft SCOTUS opinion 'a greatest hits of misogyny'
https://www.cnn.com/2022/05/12/politics/alito-princeton-classmate-susan-squier-cnntv/index.html
< Susan Squier, a former classmate of Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito at Princeton University and who organized a letter protesting a leaked draft opinion that would overturn Roe v. Wade, on Thursday said she was stunned and called it "a greatest hits of misogyny." "When I read the document -- I read all 98 pages of it, and mind you, I'm trained as a scholar of literature and medicine, and I look at nuance. And when I saw that he had smuggled into the document the wording from the Mississippi Gestational Age Act, which, as I understand it -- now I'm not a lawyer -- but isn't even law yet. And he was referring to unborn children rather than fetuses. I was just stunned," Squier told CNN's John Berman on "New Day." "I mean, I have read a lot of medical history going back for doing literature and medicine, and his is like a greatest hits of misogyny.">

23. They only care about it before it's born.
Because that implies exerting power over the woman carrying it.
But once it’s born, they stop caring. Completely and absolutely. We can tell by the programs they’re eager to cut. |

10. "Unborn children" describes a purely theoretical concept.
As in a 22-year-old saying "I'm making the choice to take this job in environmental science in the hope my unborn children will have a healthier planet to live on", or newlyweds telling their banker "We're adding a special savings account to begin saving for tuition costs for our unborn child/ren."
IOW, "unborn children" refers to "THEY DON'T EVEN EXIST YET." An embryo EXISTS and the correct term for it is "an embryo." A fetus EXISTS and the correct term for it is "a fetus." A recently-born child EXISTS and correct terms for them include "newborn", "infant", "baby" and "child." This ain't rocket science, it's simple linguistics. Until it's propaganda. sourly, Bright |

16. Well said and quite true.
As Orwell observed: “There is no swifter route to the corruption of thought than through the corruption of language.”
These cretins are embodiments of that principle in action. |

9. That it is. Yes, that it is.
There is absolutely no other way we can interpret Alito's writing, and basing it on medieval texts is beyond the pale of reason.
Next he'll require all globes in classrooms throughout the U.S. to be destroyed and replaced with flat tabletop maps of the earth. ![]() |

12. This is one giant social experiment by six unelected and corrupt judges
They are forcing their ignorant science-free religion onto an entire nation that has never experienced the backward march of human rights, until recently. That never experienced forced pregnancy when absolute identity of the father can easily be determined even before birth. That never experienced forced birth when a simple, easy and safe pill is available to end unwanted pregnancies.
If the religiously insane judges on the corrupt Supreme Court can stop all American women from getting medical intervention for unwanted pregnancies, they can also force those same women to abort if their god so demands it. Who knew unelected judges could legislate such hate for all American women. |

17. The bible is very clear that human life begins with the first breath the fetus takes.
There are several passages that cover it:

18. How many people who are for forcing a woman to stay pregnant
How many people who are for forcing a woman to stay pregnant to save a life wouldn't take a vaccine to potentially save one life or even many?
How many couldn't even stand for letting the state make them wear a paper mask? Yet they want to let states not only make women stay pregnant but in many states even when rape or incest is involved? |
