used twitter to spread his propaganda and lies all the way to the White House, and if he owns twitter, no one can take him off of it no matter what he says.

He's also setting up a suing operation to go after people, something else trump does. Here's a link to that.

We know they all want a strongman dictatorship. I guess him being an Austrian was to be icing on the cake.

We don't have to worry about that, at least.

I think he's problematic in many ways. Mostly in the ways he's super self-interested and very publicly messy. And has a whole slew of fanbois who will attack if anybody says anything negative about EdgeLord of the Internet.

To do as he pleases to enrich himself, and be above the rule of law, without consequences. People like him act out a lot (like TFG) because they are arrogant, and wealthy enough to escape justice, and always get their way. I will never buy anything he sells.

Your thought on this makes no sense as it isn't a little boys treehouse club it is a dangerous movement that can cause atrocity and mass death.

Now maybe he used it and it didn't make headlines, I don't know and don't read a lot of press on this depressing subject.

I think we in the liberal west at this time tend to sling around fascist and neo-Nazi and Nazi in overlapping terms without regard for the differences between the terms. And to complicate that fascist and libertarian are both on the far right and don't fit too well together as regards using government for political purposes and believing no government is best for them. And they do use it for convenience and are never called on it.

Never went away. And wasn't new in '14.

For years it was applied to WWII Germany and a host of other targets. Obama was a Nazi, some Russia pundit screeded. It's been decades since it actually meant "Nazi" in the historical sense those bearing the traits of Nazis. It means "a person that I strongly disagree with and who strongly believes I'm not right."

Elon Musk lashed out at NBC, detailing the network’s slew of embarrassing scandals, after one of its hosts alleged that the billionaire’s purchase of Twitter will give “the far right” control over the social media giant.

Musk’s late Monday tweets — in which he blasted the Peacock network over its dismissal of The Post’s reporting on Hunter Biden’s laptop, as well as its fumbling of the Harvey Weinstein story and the Matt Lauer sexual misconduct scandal — came in response to a Sunday monologue by MSNBC’s Mehdi Hasan, who hosts “The Mehdi Hasan Show” airing on Peacock and MSNBC.

In the segment, Hasan warned that Musk’s $44 billion Twitter takeover is happening in an “unspeakably dangerous moment,” as what he called the “pro-QAnon, pro-Neo Nazi faction” of the Republican Party was poised to gain support during the 2022 midterm elections.

“If that happens, we may look back on this week as a pivotal moment, when a petulant and not-so-bright billionaire casually bought one of the most influential messaging machines and just handed it to the far right,” Hasan quipped.

Yesterday, I had a co-worker who just refused to get a task done that really needed to be done by end of day. I begged, because I couldn't work late as I had theater tickets. The man was being completely intractable.

My opinion? Definitely a Nazi.

I've reported it to HR. Except I am HR. So it's official. He goes into my Nazi file (which I keep and where all people who displease me are placed. There's a taco truck guy who's in there twice).

I feel like we're reaching a point with that word where you see it so often and it becomes so watered down, it doesn't even look like a word anymore.

When we were younger, early 20s, my friends and I used to do the whole "try a new restaurant" every weekend in the city thing. Whenever we went to an Italian restaurant, we spent a respectable portion of the meal discussing whether or not the owners and staff were "family." Whenever one of us went to a new place, we'd text the others. "Very good! Get the manicotti! Family."

To this day, even if we're in different cities and things, if we go to a new Italian place, we use the old text chain to let everyone know which restaurants we think are family. Easier to discern in some cities than others.

So, I'll put you down.

"Guy I post with. Did chemistry stuff. Family."

Far as I can tell, the only thing he hates is being answerable to someone. And the only people he hates are the people he has to answer to. “I can’t control Twitter? Okay, I’ll buy Twitter.” And then “Who’s in my way?” and “Who hates the people in my way?” and so on and so on.

Calling people like Musk a neo-nazi waters down the term so badly that it starts to mean nothing. It distracts from those who are legitimate white supremacists. It's irresponsible and the OP should remove the post.
