(15,214 posts)I was SO proud of Beto yesterday. He was awesome and doing what so many of us wish we had the opportunity to do. It took guts to confront those assholes and he stood his ground THEN took the majority of the press outside WITH him.

It's their go to in cases like this.

Small town cops wouldn't know how to deal with exotic things that rarely happen.
It wouldn't happen at all with gun control.
Focusing on the cop things is tempting but is based on the idea everyone can have guns, the cops should just be competent to stop the shooter. Good guys with guns argument.
They needed a SWAT team for something like this, so unless we want to spend money for every small town to have one, maybe we should stop the guns instead.
