(110,950 posts)...and these hearings are only an update for the public's understanding.
I think there is still a lot for them to uncover.

(4,527 posts)Pretty difficult to take over a lot of evening time slots that might already be scheduled. And does the Fed Gov need to pay for the time? What about advertising, etc?
I am not defending any obstacles because I think the hearings are vital. But, the media in this country calls the shots and I cant see our Gov being able to monopolize the airwaves for too long. People would scream that we were turning into a communist country with state run TV.
Me, Im happy to have the hearings be my new summer show! The more, the better!
But, Ill probably gain weight from all the snacks I will be consuming!! LOL!!

(7,839 posts)How many episodes of fictional Law and Order can one watch
when a real Law and Order and Attempted Coup is presented raw and live?
All veils secretly desire to be lifted, except the veil of hypocrisy
How does that phrase not apply bigly to republicans and the coup attempt?

(4,527 posts)kinda wish we could see the faces of all the non-believers in this country that keep claiming it was just a peaceful protest and tourist stop for visitors.

(4,527 posts)I am intrigued, tho! How did you get this full scheduled? So far, I can only find info for this Thursday in PrimeTime, and then next Monday at 10AM.
In any case, thanks!

Here is an excerpt from the WP updated 6/7.
It only mentions tomorrow's televised hearing and the one on Monday.
How to watch the Jan. 6 committee hearings and what to watch for
Analysis by Amber Phillips
Staff writer
Updated June 7, 2022 at 12:15 p.m. EDT
When are the hearings dates and times?
The first hearing will start Thursday, June 9, at 8 p.m. Eastern. The second will be held Monday, June 13th, at 10 a.m. Eastern. The committee hasnt announced a formal schedule for the rest, but there could be as many as eight in total through June, with a final hearing in September right before the November midterm elections.
How to watch the hearings
The committee usually live-streams its hearings, and most major TV news stations will be airing at least Thursdays hours-long hearings in full: ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC and CNN plan to. Fox News is the only major news network to decide not to, instead saying it will continue with its regular, primetime coverage and talk about the hearings as warranted.

(443 posts)The day after the last showing, I hope that that is when the DOJ gets busy and starts arresting people. The information will all be out there then and no need for any more secrecy. I'm know, I know, I'm trying really hard not to get my hopes up too much, but I suppose that hope springs eternal.

Department of Justice Main Switchboard: 202-514-2000
TTY/ASCII/TDD: 800-877-8339 (or Federal IP Relay Service)
