HAHAHAHAHA! Colorado to Investigate Lauren Boebert for Alleged Misuse of Campaign Funds

Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) has come under investigation from several state agencies over her alleged misuse of campaign funds, the New York Times reported today.

Boebert allegedly used campaign funds to reimburse herself for $22,259 in mileage—a sum strikingly similar to the $20,000 she paid in tax liens for her previous failure to pay unemployment premiums on her restaurant, Shooters Grill. The allegations were brought to the Colorado attorney general’s office by the American Muckrakers PAC, which recently tanked Madison Cawthorn’s congressional run.

Just like her idol TDFG.

Who cares about laws? This from someone who did not graduate from High School?

At least Elle Woods got into Harvard Law and graduated Top of her class.

whether that be fame or infamy no difference to them, and suck as much $ from the public to support their insanity so they can line their pockets.

The campaign funds were for Federal office; that puts them under the jurisdiction of the FEC.

Every state prosecutes FRAUD. That said, this is an investigation to SEE if any state laws HAVE been violated, so your criticism is putting cart before the horse.

Utilizing an illegal source of funds or ill-gotten funds to pay off a tax lien is illegal in Colorado as well as other states and also on the federal level. Couldn't be happening to a more deserving person in my opinion.

..."At the core of the inquiry are eight tax liens from the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment totaling $20,000 and filed against Ms. Boebert from August 2016 to February 2020 for failure to pay unemployment premiums on her business, Shooters Grill.

In late 2020, Ms. Boebert reimbursed herself for mileage from the 2020 campaign and paid off the liens.

“As you are both fully aware, utilizing an illegal source of funds or ill-gotten funds to pay off a tax lien is illegal in Colorado and under federal law,” the Muckrakers complaint to the attorney general stated, adding, “That is the very definition of ill-gotten funds.”

Looking at her opponent's record in the Colorado Senate, though, Don Coram, he seems a little too centrist for the average Trumpian.

She considers herself to be one of Trump’s faithful, loyal soldiers who would have been instrumental in a successful coup. Tearing down the established order is exciting to her, no matter what replaces it. She’s dangerous.

And again, should we continue to speculate on the identity of the person who planted the pipe bombs on 1/5/21?

However there is no more bereft and bedeviled place in all of Colorado. Cannot live there. Cannot imagine what kind of fossilized reptiles could make a go of it. And I have lived in the most obscure and difficult places in our great state. The thought of her defiling our democracy is galling.

Cheap rent, though. It's tempting.
