Apply Ogham's Razoo To Explain All Odd Occurrences!

Occam's Razor is no longer a valid way to evaluate the most likely cause for something. It's not the simplest possible explanation that is the most likely to be accurate.

Instead, apply Ogham's Razoo, which states that: "The least likely reason for something happening is the most likely reason."

So, if a LGBTQ+ bar burns down in Detroit, you should assume that it was probably arson by homophobic right-wingers, rather than the usual cause of the fire starting in the kitchen area.

Or, if Donald Trump still hasn't been indicted, Ogham's Razoo assumes that it is because AG Garland is still fretting over not being a Supreme Court Justice, rather than the investigation still not being complete.

Always apply Ogham's Razoo and you'll have something to post, no matter what happens.

Yeah, that's the ticket...

RIghtWing extremists have given us good cause to suspect them on matters of fire and destruction, even if the initial suspicion turn out to be incorrect.

Most people today believe that blm and antifa shot police and burned down precincts during the Floyd protests. We were correct in assuming early on that it was RW using cover of the protests to trigger a greater conflict.

Simple explanations seldom get you the kind of attaboys and eager extrapolations that florid ones do.

But, some of its also a manifestation of PTSD, and as such is worth noting. If you’re hyper-vigilant enough, if you see a big, scary reason for everything, you might not get caught unawares and be hurt again. Those attaboys are faux warrior companions. You’re not just scared and alone. You’re part of an army that has to remain an army and so keeps seeing those villains and enemies.

I've been an "uptown girl" since the mid 90's, and I carry Occam's razor in my boot. And you're totally right, things have gotten preposterously weird.

"Abandon all logic, ye who enter here."

When the going gets tough, the tough get snarky.

Peace,
Noodleboy
