"Ukraine is one cause of the inflation"

Whenever I hear "experts" saying this I dread the moment when we will face protests against our continuing aid.

I wish we could do more but have no idea what short of direct confrontation with Putin.

Media needs to ask the experts ...How can Ukraine be the cause of inflation? They didn't want, plan or ask for this invasion.

But I can see "the man in the street" wonders of how much our involvement contributes.

Hope I am wrong.

would have nothing to do with "peace," rather it would be a betrayal of a free people.

Putin needs to be defeated and he will be.

We may not be sending soldiers, but Ukraine is fighting a common foe for western values and their sacrifices are for the benefit of the US and Europe as they fight for their own freedom.

That's why we are supplying them with necessary weapons, assistance, and vital intelligence.

Appeasing Putin would be a grave mistake.

Unfortunately, some of the inflation is due to greater government spending in the form of Covid relief. But we were afraid the economy would go into a severe recession. Also, Trump's tax legislation has really limited government revenue.

Thank God we don't live in Russia. I doubt they'll report their true inflation figures, but anecdotal stories would suggest it's north of 100% per annum.
