We were in Seattle for a few days earlier this month.
The first thing I noticed was that there were BLM and Pride posters everywhere (just a wee bit different than where I live in Alabama). A mall we walked through had Pride colors prominently displayed everywhere you looked.
That evening we went to a Seattle Mariner's ball game, and look at what they had on their scoreboard (and it wasn't just up for a little while, it was in the ad rotation throughout the the entire game):

We'd been homeless for 3 years by that point.
We'd spend another 3 years homeless in Phoenix, but at least we could couch-surf with my dad's family.

(66,096 posts)My mother was born and raised in Alabama, and has lived in the PNW for the last forty years. She's much happier up here. It's so much easier to be a liberal, as she and all of her children are.
