Is it a coincidence that the SCOTUS decision on Roe was released the morning after

the January 6th committee laid out their mountain of evidence which proved Trump and his inner circle planned the January 6th coup?

And now, the news media's main cycle has shifted focus.

It was going to clash with the Jan 6 hearing no matter what. We all knew it were coming around the time.

let's not look for conspiracies behind every corner please.
These decisions come out around this time every year and they typically release them on Fridays. If anything was a conspiracy, it was more the timing of the hearings. If the hearing schedulers didn't want to have an important SCOTUS decision the day after a hearing they shouldn't do hearings on Thursdays in June and July, they could have gone sooner, later or they could make them all go on Tuesday instead.

the next hearing is not until mid july. Dropping that decision before last Thursday would have derailed the last hearing.

Besides the Supreme Court has to release the decisions by end of June so it dropped as expected.

it would have been released this Tuesday or Thursday.

The media was always going to shift focus.

The hearing was at 3 p.m. on Thursday. I highly doubt the SCOTUS hadn't already planned the Friday release.

The public is kept numb, overwhelmed, and old bad news no longer seems so bad.

on the first day of the hearings not on a day there was a break in the hearings. People believe in conspiracy theories because they don't engage in critical thinking.

The wife of a Supreme Court justice being subpoenaed for insurrectionist activities the same week that very justice authors the opinion undoing Roe v Wade and calling for anti-LGBT activism in its wake.

Silly to even imagine.

The committee sent her a letter asking that she testify. And Thomas was not the author of the Dobbs opinion.

so it wasn't a surprise. It landed on a Friday after the 1/6 committee had adjourned for a couple of weeks to process all the new information they've been collecting. The media will be all over Dobbs for a couple more days but then the news cycle will go back to the 1/6 materials before the committee reconvenes.

Anyhow, most of us are capable of thinking about more than one thing at a time and have not forgotten about 1/6.

In their hearing schedule. This way they are not competing with the shit throwing monkeys in black robes. The Committee will be back - and it will be back with more damning evidence about the seditious fascist GOP.

Big decisions typically come down towards the end of June, because that's when they finish up and go on break until next term.

They probably added an extra day because they had so very many decisions this term.

If they wanted to mess with the hearing, they would have done it the day of - not the day after. For all we know, they added Friday's release day precisely in order to avoid overlapping the two. I have no reason to think that, but neither does the alternative.

after it was reported what the J6 committee would be dealing with come Thursday. They could have revealed it any day next week but decided to give those who had asked for pardons and the orange shitgibbon cover and deflection space.
