It pisses me off when the wingnuts bash government, and then when disaster strikes...
...they are usually the first to whine and moan about government not helping them fast enough, or blame the government as being incompetent because some idiots died because they ignored mandatory evacuation requests!

is actually code for: "stop giving MY tax money to lazy, worthless brown and black people
who don't have a job". when disaster hits and severely impacts WHITE people-- then of course the federal government must be there in a very big way to make things right.. and do so immediately. again folks, it's all in Howard Zinn's book... from the very beginning, the wealthy white people running our nation felt only THEY were entitled to government largesse/protection. obviously women and minorities in general had zero rights.  |
