So, this means if the courts rule a President can wave his hand and declassify, and steal,

Any documents he wants, or other things the government owns, its legally ok, and he's immune from legal actions, and has ownership of stolen goods. So, Biden, or another President could take all documents by using this tactic with him home when he leaves office legally, and the government can't do anything to them for it. The courts see this idiotic claim, and consequences too, except judges like Canon.

Soon TFG will suggest he has the rights to sell documents to others right before he gets exposed for doing just that. He'll exaggerate what his rights are by projection, and how he's the victim, after caught, and exposed. I'd bet TFG has been trying to compromised Supreme Court Justices all along.

1. Or any employee could own their work product.

That won't fly.

2. That would also mean any President that was corrupt could steal and destroy evidence,

Against themselves or others to coverup and escape prosecutions, and justice for their crimes.

4. Yep.

If ruled in his favor, watch how many ways he'll expand using it.

5. If the documents now belong to that Prez, he can sell whatever belongs to him.

This is what could really happen if TFG is allowed to say he owns any or all papers having to do with his presidency.

6. Exactly, and soon he'll be projecting that to the easy marks that he's conned,

Then claim he and they are the victims, again, and the DOJ and FBI are the criminals, or always the oppose of the truth.

7. Does the reverse also work?

For example…
President Biden knows where all those documents are…he stands over them…reclassifying all with a wave of his left hand (assuming TFG used his right) … then claims ownership…figuratively “taking his ball and going home”…game over.

One is as ridiculous as the other.

8. Can Biden use his power to legally classify documents, yes he can. He is the executive,

If he uses the process in place. Can one just raise his hand to declassify , I doubt it, plus removing any government documents is a felony, which TFG had that increased thinking he could use it against Hillary. Any documents taken is a federal crime, and against the law. TFG is trying to project he has that right , and executive privileges still that he doesn't have. He got caught and still, I think is hiding government property, and obstructing giving all of it back. TFG is not the executive in charge, he was fired.

9. My question is does our government have other copies ?

I mean does President Biden have access to the information another way?

10. We should send a moving van full of bankers boxes to Biden's house in Rehoboth

Fill them with newspapers or something. See if the reds start screaming about it

11. Yes Trump would argue that the documents belong to him to do with as he wishes.

And since he has declassified them, he is not selling secrets, they are not secret any more.

Yes obviously being POTUS allows you to go on a crime spree of the century and get away with it.

13. It is important to note that drumpf hasn't even made that argument in court

None of his lawyers filings before Cannon claim that the documents are declassified. So there really isn’t even any argument to be made by him along those lines IN COURT.

14. No silly...it only works for

Republicans. Duh, such things are always only for one party and it isn't Democrats.

Clinton, when there wasn't yet a policy about email and sensitive documents, handled them in a way Republicans didn't like, so she was pilloried in the media, because....reasons.

TFG? Well, if he sold state secrets (ours and others) to make a buck, that's cool, because....um, he's a Republican and they can do what they please.

You may be able to tell that the double standard is making me very angry at this point. I literally do expect the SCOTUS to rule that there are two sets of rules: One for those with an R after their name and one for everyone else.

15. And by extension, anyone can gain access via FOIA request.

It's more reich-wing absurdity.

one election?
