I'm writing postcards for the Congressional Candidate in my district

Any ideas what I can put on the postcard to get people to vote? I have been writing:

Hi John/Jane Doe-
The Nov 8th election turnout is critical for saving our Democracy.
Please share ***** ******'s platform with your family and friends.
VOTE for ****** - He cares!
Plan to vote early at your County Courthouse.
Thanks from

They gave general suggestions, which I included above. And they wanted people to use their own words. But it doesn't seem very peppy to me.

Feel free to use any of it that suits your needs:

Dear Friend:

I apologize for this being a long email, but many have asked for recommendations of how to vote in the upcoming election. And yes, there is an upcoming election, in case you've been too busy lately to be aware of it; I know how that goes.

But literally, this is probably the most important election we've ever faced....

Democracy is on the ballot: The radical GOP is working to take voting rights away from millions, including women, and they are working to alter processes in states to actually overturn the will of voters.

Women's Bodily Autonomy is on the ballot: A GOP Congress literally plans to make decisions for women that should be between a woman and her doctor and/or a woman and her partner. Many of us are old enough to remember the countless lives that were lost and the very limited career choices women had before there were reproductive choices. GOP candidates are now even advocating making birth control illegal!! A Democrat Congress wants to codify a woman's right to reproductive choices.

Social Security and Medicare and on the ballot: Yep. A GOP Congress plans to make substantial cuts to both programs!!

So much depends upon our getting out to vote and voting FOR DEMOCRATS!! Please make your plan to vote, either by mail, early in person at the courthouse beginning ******, or in person on election day November 8. Make sure your registration is in place and up-to-date at the Auditor's Office in the Courthouse, with any new address on file. Voter registration deadline is ******. And be sure your friends get out to the polls, too.

If you have any questions I'll be happy to work with you to get the answers.

All the Best,

(the email continues with a long list of who's on the ballot)

I'm finding it hardest to know what to write to the young male voters, I am not sure what might convince them to vote.

The following is an excerpt from my vote forward letters I am sending to democratic leaning voters in swing states:

I vote because my children face so many challenges, from a warming climate to a deeply divided society. I vote to keep a promise I made to my kids and help elect leaders who will build a better world.

The rest of the letter is a canned plea for them to vote and where to vote. I am up to 55 letters. I hope to send out 70 or so by Saturday when the mailing dead-line ends.

Ultimately doing something is better than nothing.

WONDERFUL that you posted this!

From a thread I posted today.

CALL, TEXT, EMAIL YOUR GOOD FRIENDS
Thanks to jxla for the tip.
Friends Ask Friends to Vote

First, make a list of your people: friends, family, and community groups you are a part of; people you see regularly; and people you work with. Next, identify who on that list aligns with our ACLU values, but may not always vote. Then, let them know there’s an important election coming up and help them make a plan to vote (when, where, and how). Call them if you usually call them, text them if you typically text them, or talk to them when you see them next. We’ll also provide you with a conversation guide
