A powerful thread, which applies to alot of issues
One of which being Twitter, but also many other instances where leaving is so much easier than staying and resisting. Highly recommended reading

1. This post
12/ To those white folks worried about Twitter toxicity. Please, AMERICA has been toxic for Black people for hundreds of years. If they can manage to fight on, survive and thrive despite it, you can deal with ugliness in your timeline.
Excellent point. |

2. Definitely food for thought. I will say this though
Twitter has always been a gutter.
I don't think any site on that scale will be "great," but it could be a lot better. This is a great opportunity for someone or some company to start something new. |

3. The thread isn't actually about Twitter
Twitter is just one manifestation of a bigger issue.

5. So true.
And let's just get down to it. You talk about progressives losing their commitment because of despair. You know what's worse? People who call themselves conservative Democrats who will never even try to take up the fight to support Civil Right issues, because it puts too much strain on their conservative social circles.
Minority issues become the Voldermort, the name that should never be spoken. |
