If our defense against Biden having classified documents is that Pence did it also
we have agreed to the narrative and have already lost. Sometimes this is going to happen as you cant win every fight but we fix things, that's what we do. We fix the budget, we fix the economy, we fix the social contract. Biden and or the Democratic party should fix this.

1. I call BS on that...and I wonder why you are so anxious to see Biden attacked?
You know nothing of the circumstances...

2. Certainly don't want to see Biden attacked in any way whatsoever.
And I am not doing that in any way. I'm just saying that there seems to be a problem with classified material being in compromised situations with a good amount of people. That needs to be addressed even more than the political problems that you seem to be worried about. We fix things.

13. I see...but we don't even know the circumstances yet...or when classification was decided...
Biden turned over the documents unlike Trump so I don't see an issue really.

3. I Can't Believe That People Still Think Teflon Man Will Face ANY Consequences From This
I Know that the circumstances are completely different. I know that Teflon Man tried to hide the fact he had the documents. That he lied about having them, and refused to turn them over when asked.
All that means nothing. He gets away with EVERY FUCKING ILLEGAL THING he has done in his entire miserable life, and he will get away with this too. People who think Teflon Man is going to jail, are living in Fantasyland. |

7. I don't think that's our "defense" at all
Pretty sure the defense is that, unlike the former corrupt and seditious ex-president, both Biden and Pence did what they were supposed to do when classified documents were found. They didn't lie and they didn't obstruct. That's the comparison between Pence and our president.

10. So our defense is that classified material in comprised situations happens?
And you think that is a defense that the American people will accept?

18. Well, sure, if you want to twist it that way
I'm not sure what you mean by compromised though.
I can guarantee you something. Every single living ex-president, vice president and all the archivists of the deceased ones are, right now, scouring everything they have. |

19. I mean, if you are not a political person, that's how you are going to see it.
Comprised would be not in a secure situation, like in a garage, or a home, or a glorified motel. I'm sure every single living ex-president, vice president and all the archivists of the deceased ones are searching right now, and we will hear quite a few announce that they too have classified material. Unsecured, in a house, a office. That is exactly the problem I am screaming about.

26. I think anyone who has ever dealt with classified documents
understands how benign they can be. It’s not “Mission Impossible” stuff. There’s a HUGE difference between classified and Top Secret. Any active duty or ex-military person knows that.

8. Biden and Pence get a fine. They followed procedure.
Based on abuse of authority Trump loses any and all security clearance forever more. Same goes for Santos.

9. Good thing that isn't the defense, then. The defense is that Biden (and apparently Pence too)
took the correct steps once the documents were discovered, whereas TFG did not.
Biden okay. Pence okay. TFG not okay. Look, fuck Pence, but on this particular issue with what is publicly reported it appears he did not break the law, as Biden also did not. But TFG did. The law in question being 18 USC 793 e and f. |

16. So really, classifed material sitting in
Bidens garage, Trumps hotel and Pence's house is fine as long as it was returned? That is a good situation? It's fine?

15. I think the American people will accept "when the error was found we did the right thing"
especially when doing the right thing or not is the difference between being not a crime or a crime respectively AND others (like Pence) also have the same errors and also did the right thing, while others (like TFG) did not.
Pence's retention of those documents is a boon to Biden and company because it sharpens the contrast between Biden and TFG in how they behaved. It also eliminates the person best positioned to be the face of the criticism of Biden, his successor in that office. |

20. I would not be surprised if what Pence and Biden had were documents a VP would be expected to be
using for the job and where they would be expected to be using them. A lot might be routine briefings. Classified because we don't want just anyone knowing what they were briefed on.
Trump on the other hand likely had/has some really sensitive technical stuff someone was instructed to steal. Trump would have had no clue what might really be valuable to our enemies. |

21. But, this is Trump's new defense.
It should go on the list of excuses. Maybe he got Pence to do it. Odd, isn't it? Just odd. This is the most powerful excuse to date.
Make no mistake, Trump was up to no good, and he incited the insurrection. This isn't our defense. It is his. And now, the Repubs are starting to crow. I'm waiting for the next Trump enemy to show up with docs. Hilary, Obama? They're both on Trump's sh*t list. |

24. If trumps defense is that there is a national security problem
with classified documents being unsecured then I haven't heard that one yet, even so holding on to them for a year when he was told to return them puts him at a distinct disadvantage doesn't it? Kinda changes what was going on. Once again this is not a trump, pence, Biden thing but a national security thing. And its a major problem. Our defense is that Biden gave them up as soon as he found them. That's all good, but we still have a national security problem, a huge one. A very huge one.
