This was a great day for Dems and Biden and shows trouble for Republicans, haven't seen it reported that way much though.

And it seems to me the media was playing up the GOP primaries as off sets some how, where a Rep runs against a Rep.

If it would have went the other day, today would be non stop post mortem about how this is terrible news for the Democratic Party. Generally the party in power loses these off cycle elections because Americans like to blame someone, but that's not happening right now.

I think Americans are really afraid of Trump, hate Republcians attacks on Democracy, and the Woke attacks are falling flat.

Donna deegan did flip the mayoral seat in Jacksonville, FL .
I am pretty sure we also had flips at state levels for lower offices.

I don't know if that should be called a "blue wave."

We had a few upsets in Allegheny County PA (where Pittsburgh is located). Our long-time District Attorney Stephen Zappala Jr. was apparently beaten by progressive challenger Matt Dugan. Dugan currently has an 11% advantage over Zappala but the mail-in ballots haven't all been counted. Also the primary race for Allegheny County Executive was won by progressive Dem Sara Innamorato, and the early favorites Michael Lamb and John Weinstein were left in the dust. It's usually assumed that whoever wins the primary will be a shoo-in for the general election.

I think what we've seen in southwestern PA in the last 2 years, is that when a "progressive" Dem goes against an "establishment" Dem, the progressives are winning. It's especially the younger, female progressives that are getting more chances to win.
