Don't watch videos of him. Don't read his tweets or tweets about him. I get everything I need or want to know by scanning down the headers here in DU that people post about him. And that's more than plenty for me.
And why? Because I already know that everything he says is vicious, vile, and degenerate. A lie. More importantly, I choose not to let his words activate my anger and disgust. I value my peace of mind.
I shall read stuff about his next indictments, which I expect to come pretty soon. And I'm looking forward to reading about his convictions and sentences. Maybe around Christmas. Wouldn't that be nice? Otherwise, I don't listen to Trump.

(4,306 posts)I can't stand to hear his voice - it makes me nauseous.

(218,367 posts)During the 2016 campaign I found him so offensive that I quit watching the news since the media covered him rather than - I thought - legitimate candidates. I couldn't wait for the election to be over so we'd never have to see him or hear from him again. Shows what I know...

(8,351 posts)I dont want to hear him or see his f* face. Every time I see him, my BP goes up. Honestly, after 8 years of him being the news I am disgusted. Highlighting him every news program is what is keeping me from watching any news. I too, use DU as my news source so I can selectively ignore him. Go ahead and focus on him, but therein is our problem.
Lets highlight instead, Biden latest achievements! I am so thrilled at Bidens success.

(250 posts)All he wants, the only thing he desires is attention, worship. Deny him that, and he will disappear, along with every T**** imitator (looking at you MTG!).
Let them rot in prison.

(699 posts)And I switch channels and stations as soon as that image or voice comes on. Same for DeSantis and the Elf on the Shelf.

(16,212 posts)I was naive enough to think that after he was defeated we'd never have to do that again. It was so liberating to be able to actually not be on high alert when watching the news in order to quickly mute the sound of his voice or switch to a non-news station, yet here we are, seeing and hearing more of him.
Better Days Ahoy
(699 posts)Well said. It's a disappointing outcome.

(24,187 posts)why put oneself through the misery, why repeat right wing talking points? This is why I only get my news from Nicolle Wallace (she doesn't post Trump videos) Stephanie Miller, or Thom Hartmann. Looks like they fired Mehdi Hasan.
There are a couple of frequent DU posters who I almost never click on their threads. I never click on right wing sources like The Hill, Washington Examiner, USA Today, Newsweek, Business Insider, etc.
I also see the headlines on my computer home page, that's more than enough for me.

(6,273 posts)As long as he's been in the public eye, that creature has disgusted me. He seemed to me the embodiment of all that's worst, in human form.
I've quickly looked away when I've seen to that ugly face, quickly turned it off when I've heard that awful voice. The only thing that has disgusted me more has been the tens of millions of my fellow Americans who worship him.

Pictures of him then look like this:
