3. That's why the free trade agreement negotiations broke down between India and Canada.
The reception that Modi gave Trudeau at the G20 summit in India last week was also tense.

For the party and the government to allow muskrat to control your content - this is stupidity. Musk is allied with putin and probably a bunch of non-democratic elements. Are we that blind to how media manipulates us? |

17. Head desk
News breaks fast on Twitter.
We can hate the dingus all we want but at the end of the day President Biden, VP Harris, & every member of our party in DC uses it & for good reason. The MSM doesn't even begin to cover 1/10,000 of the news that you see on there. And that's a very valuable thing especially when it comes to the struggles that trans 🏳️⚧️ people are facing. You aren't going to get that on corporate media like MSNBC. |

18. The Media?
![]() Who controls the media? Without attempting to control them in their own language and on their own turf is like the old man yelling at the cloud. Refusing to read Twitter posts—among the zillions of social media posts daily—is a satisfying, personal boycott. I get it. But one lost user does little at this stage when New Twitter sponsorship has dried up and the $44 billion valuation is worth half of that. And Elmo’s jokes that it doesn’t hurt?—tell that to the Saudis and other mobsters who put up the $44 billion. They ain’t laughing. 😂😂😂 The point being—the game is capitalism and corporate media shills are the problem. Starving Twitter of financial sponsors is the front line of that battle against right-wing propaganda jokers like Elmo. Starve them of capital and let their mobster friends do their thing. It’s just business—the business of sleeping with dogs. And now Elmo has the fleas. ![]() |

I'm unsure what that has to do with anything. It's not about where they'll go, it's about despite Twitter being a shit show, it's still used by many & is the best resource for news.

23. WHAT? What about OURS? Not just unjust, but wrong.
Most who do reliably are Democrats, of course, and at least they should be counted here! But so should all others when they do right.
For just ONE example of many, but big enough that it's hard to see how it was forgotten: Back in 2018 the senate voted UNANIMOUSLY, in condemnation of tRump's embrace of Sawdi Arabia, to blame Prince Mohammed Bin Salman specifically for the murder of Jamal Khashoggi AND to end U.S. participation in the Sawdis' war on Yemen.
There're too many people to check everyone, but maybe check past events to see if reps from your own districts and states "called out murderous behaviors"? |

27. They are not peaceful.
Indira Gandhi The Prime Minister of India was assassinated in 1984 by two Sikh bodyguards.
Just a few months ago Sikhs in Canada sponsored a bloody float in a Canadian parade which celebrated the assassination. NEW DELHI, June 8 (Reuters) - India's foreign minister on Thursday hit out at Canada for allowing a float in a parade depicting the 1984 assassination of Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi by her bodyguards, perceived to be glorification of violence by Sikh separatists. "I think there is a larger underlying issue about the space which is given to separatists, to extremists, to people who advocate violence," S. Jaishankar told reporters in New Delhi while commenting about the tableau in a parade. "I think it is not good for relationships, not good for Canada," he said. Canada's High Commissioner for India also condemned the incident at a parade by Sikh activists in the Canadian city of Brampton. Video circulated in recent days on the internet showed a tableau from the parade featuring Gandhi wearing a blood-stained white saree with her hands up as turban-clad men pointed guns at her. A poster behind the scene read: "Revenge". https://www.reuters.com/world/india/india-rebukes-canada-over-parade-float-showing-assassination-indira-gandhi-2023-06-08/#:~:text=Indira%20Gandhi%20was%20assassinated%20in,angered%20Sikhs%20around%20the%20world. |

32. Yes, the conservative outlets here were pointing to the frosty relationship between Trudeau and
Modi and tried to indicate that it was Trudeau's fault for the breakdown in the relationship. Our PM does not purposely go around pissing others off and we knew there had to be more to it. I am glad he is willing to stand up to him, we have a very large sikh population in Canada and India is no better than Russia in their "assassinations" of political opponents on the soil of other countries.

44. I totally agree with you. Modi has his worshipers in India, mostly the rich, but he is a
dictator. People need to read about him prior to his becoming PM of India. He is just like Putin and the worst thing about him is that he tries to be nice to the West whilst hobnobbing with the likes of the orange idiot, etc. Considering what he did to the Muslims in India who were not born there, he must be having wet dreams as to what netanyahu is doing to the Palestinians. I always wonder if these dictators are dumbing down their people in order to stay in power and commit atrocities locally and abroad. Our PM is right to call out Modi,
