http://www.thrivemovement.com/My cousin wants me to watch it. She insists that all politicians are controlled by the Federal reserve and by the big oil companies and it doesn't matter who you vote for. I wanted to know if anyone watched it first and if anyone knows of the movie makers or anything about them.

Then again, John Perkins is in it too. Who knows? Looks a little too new-agey for my tastes.

choose the best research and sources. Your cousin is slightly correct but not entirely. Corporations pay the lobbyists, the lobbyists buy the politicians who pass the laws that will most benefit them. I'm not saying corporations are all evil, but they do have a bottom line, and profits are most important to them. Unfortunately, often times the bottom line and doing what's right are polar opposites.
Here's an example of what I'm talking about.
From Wikipedia
Who Killed the Electric Car? is a 2006 documentary film that explores the creation, limited commercialization, and subsequent destruction of the battery electric vehicle in the United States, specifically the General Motors EV1 of the mid 1990s. The film explores the roles of automobile manufacturers, the oil industry, the US government, the California government, batteries, hydrogen vehicles, and consumers in limiting the development and adoption of this technology.
After a premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, it was released theatrically by Sony Pictures Classics in June, 2006
