Watch his speech. He's full of words but those words are void of content.

He rambles, frequently segways to nowhere and takes forever to get to the point. Lots of words but not much substance.

He reminds me of the Pillsbury dough boy for reasons I can't explain.

When I look at him with my head tilted he reminds me of the animated Kool aid cartoon pitcher. Oh, yeah.

Only reasons I can think of for Trump picking him is: 1) Will follow like a mindless puppy; 2) wealthy white guy; 3) Zero threat to Trump's ego. Not that I would like her policies any more than Trump's or Vance's, but Nikki Haley would have been the better choice for the country. Not that even entered into Trump's calculation, I am sure. But she has executive government experience and has some foreign policy chops. Also might have helped Trump with women and people of color which makes him even more stupid for not picking her.

Thiel. Musk. That's clearly enough "qualifications" for TFG.

But after Nov. 5, should he be elected Trump should watch himself around open windows and employ a taster. With an asset like Vance, Putin will no longer need him and his volatility makes him a liability.

He doesn’t have what it takes to debate in support of his ideals. He especially doesn’t have what it takes to stand up to a seasoned litigator like Harris.

He’s the classic weakling who advocates bullying women.

I would think that a mediocre debate performance (which can always be spun as a win) is a much better outcome for them than refusing to debate and trying to explain why the refusal is not hiding or cowardice. I'm sure Harris can hold her own but I don't see her as an intimidating force on the debate stage. My guess is they are scared to death of having Vance talk about abortion.

He has little depth in the functioning of government. Indeed, gravitas, or the lack thereof, is a major issue with Trump/Vance. Little wonder they are ducking a debate on substance.

Vance and company are scared of a real lawyer like MVP Harris

https://www.rawstory.com/trump-scared-jd-vance-debate/

Vice President Kamala Harris has signaled her approval of three possible dates to debate former President Donald Trump's new running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH).

But the Trump campaign has not yet backed any of the debates, with senior adviser Brian Hughes putting out the statement, “We don’t know who the Democrat nominee for Vice President is going to be, so we can’t lock in a date before their convention. To do so would be unfair to Gavin Newsom, JB Pritzker, Gretchen Whitmer, or whoever Kamala Harris picks as her running mate.” This is a reference to the current controversy of some Democrats calling on President Joe Biden to exit the race for a second term, which would most likely but not definitely result in Harris leading the top of the ticket.

Commenters on social media, however, pounced on this as a sign that the Trump campaign is actually afraid of going toe to toe with Harris, who by many metrics won the last time she was in a vice presidential debate, against Mike Pence. Others urged Democrats to cut out the infighting, and take this remark as a sign the Trump campaign is benefiting from efforts to push Biden aside.

Kamala has already accepted 3 possible dates for a VP debate - July 23, August 12, August 13.

JD Vance is already employing an excuse of “can’t commit with the uncertainty of the Democratic ticket”.

I suggest that JD “eyeliner” Vance start prepping now for an August debate. 2 weeks is going to go fast and the Democratic Ticket will be Biden/Harris.
Start cramming now because your 18 month experience in all things politics is minuscule compared to VP Harris.

You can try and disinfect your web page and Twitter but remember…..The internet is forever.

He talks about childless women, and men, and how these people shouldn't have the same voting rights as parents.

https://www.buzzfeed.com/morgansloss1/jd-vance-childless-left-voting-power-parents

This striping of rights of a fairly large cross section of American Society is meant to marginalize them, and justify treating them as less than full citizens. In his perverted view of society, it's not just women who are to blame for much of the nation's woes (whatever they are), but, by implication, homosexual men and any other males who are not contributing to the gene pool.
Essentially, he wants forced parenthood for all adults as a way of demonstrating their dedication to the future of the nation.

This comes from the party that decries government interference in the lives of it's citizens. I guess that concept is only important when it suits them. In actuality, the so called party of small government is ready, willing, and would like to be able to engage in total control over the lives of everyone.

Liars will lie, and dictators will dictate. And so the successor to Donald Trump's Magaworld is established and defined as a 39 year old monster, who will be ready to step in when Trump falters.

deeply unpopular and out of synch with the vast majority of Americans. Republican politicians are only interested in throwing red meat to the cult. During Trump’s term he never once even hinted that a President is President of all the people, not just his voters. He doesn’t understand the concept. Vance was hired with the understanding that he will never stray from MAGA doctrine. Debating Harris there will be nowhere to hide. She can nail him on policy and on his previous statements comparing Trump to Hitler - clearly a place he doesn’t want to go and that the chickenshit press would never venture.

It reinforces Harris's experience as a prosecutor.

Vance knows she will harp on reproductive rights, and rebutting her will highlight his horrible stance on that subject in front of the whole country, not just the RBC this week.

The Trump campaign suggested Wednesday its hands are tied because it doesn’t know who will be on the Democratic ticket.

“We don’t know who the Democratic nominee for vice president is going to be, so we can’t lock in a date before their convention,” said Brian Hughes, a Trump campaign senior adviser.

Citing a list of Democrats mentioned as possible candidates should there be a shakeup on the party’s ticket, Hughes said scheduling a vice-presidential debate right now would be unfair to California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer – “or whoever Kamala Harris picks as her running mate.”

I really hope it remains a Biden/Harris campaign. However if Biden were to drop out and Harris becomes the nominee, then it would have proved Vance correct and blowback on us.

Best to withhold comment for the time being. I don't think a few weeks wait will change anything.
