This is a quote from my Marc Elias email:

Unless it's pursuant to a court order, they will get sued and they will lose. My law firm sued Cochise County, Arizona in 2022 when the county refused to certify. They lost and ultimately got indicted.
I understand why people are anxious about the GOPs plans to undermine certification. It is a topic I have written and spoken about often. However, I can assure you that Trump and his cronies will not succeed in subverting the election results in 2024 any more than they did in 2020."

We have to maintain our sanity. The only state I am not sure is Georgia. However, person who does not certify will bear the burden of history. Why do it? Let Trump bear the burden.
Also, Kemp has Presidential aspirations. Does he want to be associated with Trump?

(22,395 posts)Now they do. I'm thinking these GQP legislators are sucking up to their base and donors by "showing the libs" that they will take action. But it's not because they'll actually get away with stealing anything. Probably more for fund raising and securing their own seats and donors.

(3,146 posts)Trump failed last time when he had the powers of the Presidency. No way they can pull it off while Biden is President. And I will add that hes not running for anything anymore so this is Dark Brandon with no more fucks left to give. They will FAFO this time. Biden would give his life to protect the country. Just saying.

(22,395 posts)In fact, if tscf gets his way, he'll try to send this to his corrupt scotus.
But, the suits can't proceed unless someone wants to take that chance, and hopefully, no one will at the local level.
