the orange Nazi in the White House and focus all energy on every single Republican member of Congress. They need to be attacked, ridiculed and shamed for abandoning their jobs and their oath of office. Calls for their resignation every minute of every day. It's time to hire someone who can use the media as effectively as the fascist trump organization. The message needs to pound Republicans and put all the blame on them. Seriously they are the only ones who can put a stop to this madness. When their behavior becomes serious to all Democrats not just a select few and the pushback becomes real then I will consider donating $ again. This is bad and we need a serious effort here.

Deprived the orange narcissist the attention he feeds on and distribute to pressure to those that could STOP him!
Kasekwl, you are a genius!

(2,964 posts)there is no changing that.
But he can't do it without the support of Republicans who presumably are not.
There has to be a line they won't cross. We need to move that line up, while we still have a country.

(486 posts)I profoundly disagree with you. Yes, we need to watch the Republicans. They've had an evil agenda since at least 1980. But we cannot afford to ignore Donald Trump. His gross incompetence coupled with his malignant narcissism - and the fact that he holds the most powerful office in the world - make him the most dangerous man alive aside from perhaps Vladimir Putin.
Watch the Republicans but not to the exclusion of watching the President.

(8,282 posts)describe but to feed his constant cry for attention is what he wants. While we broadcast every stupid drool from his mouth he's busy making huge money from his fool base and greedy donors it's Republicans who can put a stop to it. They need to be forced to make their decision to accept this criminal authoritarian administration public and name all names.

(2,964 posts)who aren't malignant narcissists with dementia, so some subset of them theoretically can practice reason.
Trump cannot. Focus on him for the purpose of persuading the handful of Republicans we need to win over to stop this thing.

IMHO
The Republican Reps and Senators are vulnerable because they are elected. They are
Trump's army. They cannot run and hide from lawsuits. Many of their constituents are already aware. More exposure will help.
Those lawsuits would also expose Trump.
Hence, without his army, Trump is vulnerable.

None of this would have happened without the complicity of the Republican Party.
Are they willing to walk open-eyed into dictatorship? Each one should be exposed.
If we dig, we might find some consciences, or some fear, or some line they won't cross.

(21,439 posts)for all of this - they are sending people to lifetime incarceration without due process. They are arresting people off the street. They are destroying our democracy in favor of the billionaires.
Thanks for posting this because it is time we shift gears.
I totally agree, kacekwl. It's time to turn up the heat, especially after seeing what happened in NJ today. Something always seems to happen on Fridays. Has anyone else noticed that trend? Now I hear Trump is making Ed Martin the "Pardon Attorney". WTF is that? Yes we need to hammer Republicans. Hard!

(1,244 posts)doesn't matter to the malignant narcissist as long as he's SEEN every day on TV and in print.
IGNORE HIM COMPLETELY. Instead, troll the crap out of the spineless sycophantic members of congress who cling to him like dried dung to a dog's hind legs.
LET them know they are FAILING us, embarrassing us and THEMSELVES by allowing the central principles of our democracy to be leached away through their cowardice.
