This SCOTUS has already dismantled half of the VRA and are gunning to dismantle it entirely. The people executing the coup want total control over everything but make it appear as though this is what people want.

The Texas rep's came here to Illinois, which is at the top of the list of most gerrymandered states.

Even though Elbridge Gerry is most associated with it, I read an article once that said even when we were still British subjects, that the colonies would redraw district borders to be more favorable to the person or faction that was currently serving.
