Well, I have news. Happy plus sad. And they involve similar objects.

Today, I bought a new (to me) Audi. This is something I hadn't anticipated needing, but my actions 2 weeks ago made it a necessity.

OK, stop talking in riddles! 2 weeks ago I was involved in a terrible tangle of cars. 3 cars. My Audi, which I loved ferociously, was totaled. It broke my heart, it filled me with guilt and anger at myself.

I rented a Nissan and tried to carry on like normal. It wasn't easy. I really wanted another Audi, so we went to Audi's spring sale.

We found one we liked, that was very similar to my old one, and today we bought it. A used Audi. I think it has 50K miles on it. And of course, it's electric!

I am feeling much better today. Maybe you'll see me the way I was last year: cheerful, combative and like that. Time will tell. There will be photos in a day or two.

The car's official name is 2023 e-tron Premium Plus quattro. If anyone can interpret this phrase, please speak up.

4. I'm happy and sad about my new car.

Bought a new Honda C-Rv.
Worked for the Big 3 for 30 years and always bought my company’s cars.
After reading the reviews, I settled on the Honda. One look under the hood sold me. I could look down on the motor and still see the ground. Can’t do that on my company’s cars. There is room to get to any part that needs attention. On American cars it can now cost a fortune to change a light bulb. You have to drop the bumper to remove 10 other parts to get to a light bulb .
Should be the last car I’ll buy at my age.
It’s gas, but I no longer drive that much anymore.
Got my wife a Prius a few years ago and it’s been great. She now drives a lot more than I do. She will save a lot on gas. But it’s a little too small for me to get into.
With my fading memory, I’m hooked on the navigation system.
Just sunk a lot of money into a whole new brake system for my 26 year old van. Don’t use it that much, but I can still haul large items and go camping in it. Had a new certified used motor installed a couple of years ago, tranny gone through and new tires on it. Should last a long time, plus be there when I need it.
Good part about the Honda is it was assembled in Windsor Canada and 90 percent of the parts are made in the USA. More than the parts for American cars have.

I hope the new Audi serves you well. Nothing like a new vehicle. Mrs Happy and I had the new (to us) vehicle experience recently. We bought a 2009 Ford Ranger that is “almost” new. Bought it with 14k miles on it. Took it in for service at the local Ford place and the sales manager was trying to buy it from me!

Maybe hidden foot rests for the passengers? Front passenger can lay flat like on a bed?
Automatic turn on to drive and driverless "walk" straight backup/forward movement to get in and out of tight parking spaces? CarWash Mode? Interior night drive mood lighting that can be changed to whatever color you want.
That's what the top end version of my Ionic 9 EV (the Road Trip Hyundai SUV version) does.

Only downside - you should put aside a savings account for tires and tags though. Annual Licence tags for EVs are double than ones for ICE vehicles (no gas tax revenues) and tires have to be specialty due to the weight and individual axel/motors for each tire on the EVs - and they're typically only good for30k miles, harder to patch and not cheap to replace.
