Trump caught Sleeping at the game he ruined

https://www.thedailybeast.com/donald-trump-79-caught-dozing-during-knicks-game-he-ruined/

President Donald Trump was caught with his eyes closed in public yet again, this time during Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden, where his attendance was decidedly controversial.

After being greeted with rude gestures and critical signs ahead of the game before facing a chorus of deafening boos during the national anthem, the president was recorded later during the game with his eyes closed, appearing to have fallen asleep.

president, where psychiatrists and criminologists speak out in alarm about the man?!

See what I mean?

The title of the book – Criminology on Trump (Routledge, 2022).
“Over the course of five decades, Donald Trump has been accused of sexual assault, tax evasion, money laundering, non-payment of employees, and the defrauding of tenants, customers, contractors, investors, bankers, and charities,” Barak says. “Yet, he has continued to amass wealth and power.”
https://www.corporatecrimereporter.com/news/200/gregg-barak-explores-criminology-on-trump/

Gregg Barak is an American criminologist, academic, and author. He is an emeritus professor of criminology and criminal justice at Eastern Michigan University, a former visiting distinguished professor in the College of Justice & Safety at Eastern Kentucky University,[1] and a 2017 Fulbright Scholar in residence at the School of Law, Pontificia Universidade Catholica, Porto Alegre, Brazil.[2] He is most known for his research in the fields of criminology and criminal justice.[3]

of Barak. This is a comment from a reviewer on subject book:

Michael J. Lynch appreciates the author's effort to combine theories of personality and social structure in this fascinating and unique description of "how a deviant life course emerges, and how that life course was projected as normal and even laudable in a (social) media-dominated age."

How many times at DU have our posters noted this? Answer: dozens, most likely hundreds.

Yet the rest of America goes on about its day, oblivious to this perversion of our values.

The Trump Jinx continues, if the Knicks lose the series Trump will just say they really won it and it was fixed. Then he'll demand the DOJ investigate it and the Supreme Court overturn it.

He's got this mindset to never show weakness. He probably could use a couple weeks of just rest, staying home and not doing anything. But he knows there's serious questions about his health so he forces himself to do things like this that he knows will just wipe him out.

And these stairs, he's struggling with stairs everywhere and has probably already fallen down some and it's just a matter of time before he does so in public. He's too vain to let his people help him.

I do think he has some serious health issues, but part of it is just being 80 years old, overweight, and just infirm. Everyone ages differently, he reminds me of my mom who aged more quickly than my dad. When she came to stairs it became a whole ordeal because she had fallen down them before. That's what he looks like, someone who knows he shouldn't be taking stairs, but doesn't want people to know that he shouldn't.

Like with his recent interview with Kristin Welker, where he attempted to storm off the stage after the indignity of being held accountable for his lies about being defrauded of the election. He started to fall and the gracious Welker helped him out--what a normal human being would do.

50. A delish read - At the NBA finals, the Very Important President showed his favorite sport is status
Tue Jun 9, 2026, 03:08 PM

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2026/jun/09/donald-trump-nba-finals-knicks-spurs

Donald Trump arrived at the Knicks’ biggest night in 27 years hoping to cement his status and power in his hometown. But the fans had other ideas

On Monday night, the most powerful man in the world crashed a citywide celebration 27 years in the making and almost shut it down, with barricades around midtown Manhattan, security lines outside Madison Square Garden and agents wanding Victor Wembanyama as if the San Antonio Spurs phenom were a threat off the court as well as on it. And when Donald Trump finally arrived for his grand entrance, it was in a half-mile-long motorcade. Anyone taking in the scene couldn’t help but ask the quintessential New York question: who does this guy think he is, some kind of big shot?

At this point in Trump’s presidency, it’s fair to wonder if he got into politics for the free tickets. On a night when he could’ve been dealing with far more pressing issues – soaring living costs, war with Iran, a global economy under strain – Trump flew to New York expressly to watch the Knicks play host to their first NBA finals game since he started making noises about running for office someday; he evidently couldn’t turn down the game after being invited by “numerous people.”

Monday’s trip to the NBA finals came amid a stacked sports calendar for the president during his second term that has seen him appear at everything from the Super Bowl to college wrestling championships. This weekend he will even turn the White House South Lawn into the staging ground for a UFC card on his 80th birthday. There’s no doubt Trump is a sports fan – the zero-sum contests, the dominant athletes, the spectacle of it all. But that’s not the real pull for him.

The point is social hierarchy. Sports makes that legible. The farther you are from the action, the lower you are in status – unless, of course, you’re watching from a suite, where you either have connections or are the connection. When Trump went to Knicks games in his pre-presidential days, he sat courtside between his second wife, Marla Maples, and the actor Elliott Gould. The Garden’s celebrity row was a glitzy club where he fit relatively comfortably – unlike the US Open, where New York’s old-money gatekeepers still treated him as a headline-chasing arriviste.

Enjoy all of this😀

Is that one of his "conditions"? I knew someone once who would fall asleep if he sat down, so he mostly stood up when he went places. Don't misunderstand, I give the f-er no quarter, but it's very debilitating condition.
