Found a job, but what a letdown.

I found a job after a lengthy period of time unemployed. Everybody around me us jumping for joy but man, I feel let down. After all this time, it's the best i can do. Why can't I just look at the positive side? I'm sure I'll get there.

I have read that you are more likely to be hired if you are already employed than if not. Perhaps this will be your stepping stone.

Down and out. Keep in mind that when you've been looking for work for a long time the stress could easily lead to depression and it could make it difficult for you to see things clearly. Treat yourself well, gets enough sleep, and don't forget you can keep looking while you're working.

It's been FIVE years, and I have NEVER found full-time or even part-time work, benefits or no, and I am nowhere close to ever getting on my feet again.

All I can get are shitty substitute jobs that are impossible to support myself.

It always seems easier to find "ideal" employment while employed.
