Koch Brothers working to create app to steal elections - now the advanced way!Last edited Thu Jul 24, 2014, 02:09 PM - Edit history (2)
Well here we are. Clint Curtis's prototype is now old technology. His software was created for the touchscreen voting machines (to see if they could be hacked).
Now Florida has moved back to "paper ballots" with all kinds of bad laws. Do know their programmed memory cards are still in use, in the opti scan machines. They count the way they are programmed to count, and we are not allowed to look at the source code. The source code is "vendor proprietary information". Under Florida election law it is the electronic totals that are certified while doing a post certification audit a week later, after you call the results on a Tuesday night. Under Florida election law the audit percentage of paper ballots a week later is inadequate at 1-2%. The state is the problem. The state also narrowed the provision for a recount, after 100 years, from 1% to a half. This must be solved county by county. As important as Pinellas County is to the state and country, I would like to see a charter amendment for a 5% audit, to mirror Sarasota County's and their successful efforts in these matters. Because an audit of 3-5% will stop these devastating shenanigans that now something as simple as an "app" can do to the integrity of the citizens vote to be counted accurately, we must begin to discuss these matters now. An adequate audit can stop what the Koch brothers are now up to....all over the United States, not just Florida. I met with Rep Hooper(R) (now running for Pinellas County Commission) when he wanted our FL military to vote 'over the internet" overseas. It was not a great meeting. I contacted him later to let him know that his support for a 'machine' was put to the test in DC. They had university tech teams try to hack it. U of M won the "hack test" and to be funny, inserted their fight song! I've shared all of this with you in the past. (They resolved the overseas voting, but that also is still in need of an adequate audit.) Florida paper ballots are stored away for recount purposes only. We are relying on electronic totals. Now read below, it's so much easier now to hack. All we need in Florida is an audit of at least 3% but I'd like to follow conservative Sarasota with 5%. And thank you again Kindra! And don't forget this: Florida Election software Flips Vote: Losers Certified as Winners (2012) http://miami.cbslocal.com/2012/10/09/cbs4-investigates-palm-beach-countys-2012-ballot-debacle/ Look how late to the party we are..... ***************************************** http://news.yahoo.com/catching-up-to-democrats-online--one-hack-at-a-time-125724049.html?soc_src=mediacontentstory&wpisrc=nl_rdin -- A Koch brothers-affiliated group of tech-savvy developers who adhere to what they call "conservatarian" principles are sponsoring hackathons around the country to develop The Next Great App to help Republicans get elected. The events have been held in San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago and Miami. If the GOP suddenly closes the technological gap with Democrats, remember the name Lincoln Labs: They were probably behind it.

8. Kicked to the greatest page.
Let's not forget who helped Jebby in 2000. A former lobbyist for ChoicePoint, who handled the voter role purge, and is now the Chair of the Florida Democratic Party, Alison Tant.
And her hubby was an attorney in the Bush v Gore case. On the Bush side. |

9. If every red cent spent is accounted for each and every day
there is no reason at all that our votes can not be counted accurately.
Any problem with this is a fault of our government not putting in place an accurate accounting system and it is a crime of the highest order. |

14. Still nothing in the nooze? I've worked on this issue since 2004. Activists just pick up rally signs
and forget, the work that must be done first.
I will say at this point, the voters are one half of the problem. |

18. That's what I'm talking about. FLA auditing 1-2% is not even verifying 50%.
You don't know if the results are correct. And to even bring it up..."you don't trust us"? No....I don't trust the machines and their pre programmed memory cards!

19. Rep. Rush Holt's HR811 was for a 3% across the board, as in NJ.
Thus verifying 70% of the vote. More than half.

25. People have been mailed ballots in FLA now, can we get a few more recs?
We need a discussion on an issue the media, and congress refuses to discuss. This won't be easy. While admire political work that people do, I just don't understand why this is ignored, for a rally sign. OUR WORK HAS CHANGED!
